📢 ATTENTION – PRINCETON BEHIND-THE-WHEEL LESSONS

Please note: Effective August 1, 2026 we will no longer be offering Behind-The-Wheel lessons out of the Princeton location.

Students who still need to complete their Behind-the-Wheel training will continue to be served through our other locations in Forest Lake, North Branch, and Chisago.

We encourage families to plan ahead when scheduling lessons and to utilize one of these locations for future Behind-the-Wheel appointments.

We appreciate the support of our Princeton families and look forward to continuing to provide quality driver education services at our remaining locations.

PARENTS - DON’T JUST SIGN UP FOR A LESSON.  READ EVERYTHING ON THIS PAGE, SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE:

We require 10 hours of drive time with a parent and or guardian before you can schedule your 1st Behind the Wheel Lesson. (See IMPORTANT policies below.)

Looking for an appointment and nothing is coming up??

 1st make sure you are checking "all available" for instructors. 

Still nothing... That means all of this month's appointments are taken.                                                                                                                                                                                                 BUT, make sure to check back. Students cancel lessons daily and our BTW instructors add lessons all the time 

🚗 Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) Policy & Requirements

📌 Before You Sign Up for Behind-the-Wheel Lessons

Do not sign up for any behind-the-wheel lessons until you have your valid permit in hand.
You must have your permit to attend a behind-the-wheel lesson. NO exceptions.

✅ BTW Scheduling Policy

Students may only have one (1) behind-the-wheel lesson scheduled on the monthly calendar at a time.

Any additional lessons booked beyond the one allowed will be automatically canceled.

Students are required to complete 10 hours of driving practice with a parent/guardian before scheduling their first behind-the-wheel lesson.

❗Cancellations, No-Shows & Invalid Permits

To avoid a $50 missed lesson fee, please follow these cancellation policies:

General Rescheduling: Must be done with at least 2 business days’ notice.

Illness: Must notify us at least 5 hours before your scheduled lesson.

Valid Permit Required: If a student arrives without a valid permit, the lesson will be canceled and the $50 fee will apply.

⛔ You cannot cancel online if it’s less than 48 hours before your appointment.

🚦 10-Hour Practice Requirement: Safety First!

Before your first behind-the-wheel lesson, your student must have completed at least 10 hours of driving with a parent or guardian.

The student arrives with less than 10 hours logged, OR

The instructor determines during the lesson that the student is demonstrating skills below the expected level of 10 hours...

...we reserve the right to cancel or end the lesson in the interest of safety.
 A $50 missed lesson fee will apply in these cases.

Logging 10 hours on a driving log is not enough—your student must be able to safely demonstrate that experience on the road. Our instructors are trained to assess driving ability and prioritize safety for all involved.
